National Molding Italia offers much more than simple plastic parts.
We also offer a product-design service, whereby customers can draw on the skill and expertise of our designers, tool designers and plastics engineers, all experts with years of experience gained with a wide variety of international companies. Our engineers work with the customer's design team through the complete product life cycle, from the preliminary design sketches right through to production, to produce the best possible results.
Our team's mission is to assist and support the customer, acting as partners on meta-projects, working closely with product engineering managers, and with quality certification bodies.
Tooling and automation projects, as well as software and hardware for the entire production process, are developed internally.
National Molding Italia offers the best possible solution, at the best quality/price ratio.
Our molding technologies include injection molding for thermoplastic materials, using conventional molds and the most advanced instruments, and our exclusive, proprietary Hetero system.

CHARACTERISTICS AND BENEFITS OF THE HETERO SYSTEM

Pressa per il sistema Hetero
The Hetero process is the most advanced injection molding process for thermoplastics, which uses interchangeable mold technology - a practical application of economies of scale - and has been developed through our engineering skill and experience. It is the best choice for molding small, light parts.
It is a flexible, highly-automated multi-cavity injection process that allows multiple products of different shapes to be produced simultaneously.
The system's flexibility ensures competitiveness both for small and large production volumes.
The "Quick-change" system ensures the fastest possible mold change, meaning that the entire operation to change molds and resume production takes only a few minutes.
The process allows the manufacture of highly complex products, such as components with threads, through holes, hinges, and thin walls, while maintaining very narrow tolerances.
The highest quality standards are guaranteed, as confirmed by our 'zero defect' capability indicators.

Basic requirements for the Hetero system
Size:
maximum size
60x90 mm. (plan view)
minimum wall thickness
0.6 mm for nylon, 0.9 mm for acetal; for better mold quality, overall thicknesses should be uniform
Dimensional tolerance:
the system's tolerance range is +/- 0.1 mm.
Weight:
up to a maximum of 14 grams

Standard materials:
Nylon - polyamide resin (PA66)
tough, excellent electrical insulation, abrasion resistant, good chemical resistance, flame retardant UL94V-2, high heat stability
Acetal resin (POM)
low humidity absorption, good dimensional stability, stability in hot water, low coefficient of friction, excellent rigidity and mechanical resistance, naturally lubricated.

Other materials can be used on request.

Production capacity:  up to 2,000,000 pieces/year per mold.
